Camping is most commonly defined as an outdoor recreational activity involving living temporarily in the outdoors, usually in a tent or recreational vehicle with the purpose of getting away from civilization and enjoying nature. Camping describes a range of activities from survivalist campers who set off with little more than their boots to those who arrive in large recreational vehicles equipped with their own electricity, plumbing, and patio furniture.
Please submit only sites dealing with camping, as defined below. Look for the most appropriate sub-category and submit your site there.

Geocaching is an activity where an individual or team uses a global positioning system (GPS) to locate different treasures, otherwise known as caches.
Caches are usually placed in wooded area of parks, or areas that are off the beaten path. Seekers then use the latitude and longitude of the item locate the cache. In most cases caches are some type of container that you leave an item in, and then take and item out of. Caches also frequently have logs to sign and/or cameras to document those who found it.
This category is strictly for general geocaching sites. This includes but is not limited to: information on geocaching, lists of caches, variations of geocaching hunts, and other geocaching specific topics that do not fall into one of the sub-categories.

Letterboxing is a outdoor recreational activity which combines collecting, puzzle-solving, and treasure hunting.
Briefly, letterboxing enthusiasts hide and hunt weatherproof containers in remote or scenic places. Each container holds a guestbook, a rubber stamp and stamp pad. The planter of the letterbox distributes clues to its location; solution of these clues may require a combination of skills such as mapreading, orienteering, and puzzle-solving.
Letterboxers carry their own stamp book and personal stamp when hunting for hidden boxes. Upon finding a letterbox, they will impress their own book using the found stamp, and leave their own stamping or personalization in the letterbox guestbook.
Letterboxing has its roots in Dartmoor, England, in 1854.
