These e-mail addresses will be tested before adding these sites. Note that if the site you''re submitting is on RSS feeds, this is the wrong category.

Newsgroup hosting services are similar to Web hosting: for those who want to create a private newsgroup to discuss a particular topic, providers listed in this category offer various solutions. Additional services like mailing-list or Web gateways are often available. However, newsgroup hosting is different from creating a newsgroup on Usenet: groups hosted by service providers listed here are not relayed across Usenet, they're only available on the server of the provider.
Any service provider offering private newsgroup hosting, for free or for a fee is welcome here. Note that Usenet access providers do have their own category: Computers/Usenet/Feed Services.

Any Usenet software that is neither a client (newsreader) nor a server is welcome in this category.
If the software is a client for binary or text only newsgroups, or a server such as INN or C News, please submit the site to the appropriate categories. If, however, the software is a gateway or has a particular function (e.g. RSS feed reader via a newsreader) this is the right category.
As there's no central point on Usenet, it is impossible to provide canonical statistics. However, having numbers such as the activity of authors, number of messages, amount of data posted for a given hierarchy or even Usenet as a whole from various points and comparing them usually gives a good idea on what's happening across Usenet. The fact that several well-known news server applications already generate such data for maintenance purposes and their ability to display them graphically in HMTL files makes the task even more easier.
Sites containing statistical data on Usenet from newsgroup severs or other sources are good candidates for this category. These data may include but are not limited to: number of authors, messages, amount of data posted, accepted and rejected article rate, load average of servers, feed status or bandwidth usage. Archives of statistics are also welcome.
Usenet, or Netnews, is a world-wide distributed discussion system. Traditional access to newsgroups, or discussion fora, requires newsreader software and access to a newsserver. Many ISPs provide access to a newsserver as part of their service package. Sites in this category allow you to access the discussion fora, or newsgroups, through a web browser, without accessing a newsserver via newsreader software utilizing NNTP protocol. Sites in this category allow free access to Usenet newsgroups, unless otherwise noted.
Submit only sites which allow access to Usenet newsgroups via a web page. To be accepted, the web site must provide the following: 1) Easy to find contact address so that anyone who has a complaint to file can contact the newsmaster.
2) X-Complaints-To: header with a valid e-mail address appended to every message, again to make possible complaints against spam.
3) Access to at least one test newsgroup such as alt.test so that users can check the service without posting off-topic messages and disturbing other participants.
Finally, please note that if the site also allows access via a newsreader, it must be submitted in Computers/Usenet/Feed_Services.
