The types of salons included in this category are full service, hair, nails, tanning, and day spas.

Anyone submitting a site to this category must follow the following requirement and procedures. Every site listed is visited by the category editor for verification of adherence to the guidelines.

Function of Software: Any software submitted in this category must only be for an aspect of professional salon management.

Types of software and listings that will not be accepted in this category are:

1. Programs for consumers.

2. Imaging, makeovers, or hairstyles that are for the purpose of virtual makeovers, unless it is part of a salon management system or package.

3. Any software which contains adult content, nudity, or is illegal (i.e. warez). Adult content is to be restricted to the adult area of Dmoz.

4. Duplicate entries will not be listed. This includes multiple domain names for the same item, redirects, multiple page urls, etc.

5. Submit non-English sites to the appropriate category under World.

6. Do not submit sites "under construction." Wait until a site is complete before submitting it.

Submission Guidelines:

1. The url should be to either your sites main page, or if you make or sell multiple products, the url to the page containing the information about the salon software.

2. The title is to be the name of your business, NOT the name of the product, unless they are the same. The title may not be in all capital letters and cannot contain the character "&". The word "and" must be used.

3. The description should be about the functions and general information only. It should not contain phrases that are considered promotional or hype such as: the best, the ultimate, does everything, great, etc. The description also should not repeat the company name, or product name.
