Kannada is the majority language of the Indian state of Karnataka, spoken by about 40 million people. The Kannada language category in the Open Directory uses Unicode (UTF-8) fonts. Users will need to ensure that Kannada Unicode fonts are present and in use on their computer. On older operating systems without a rendering method for displaying Indic fonts, these may still not display correctly, though they may be readable.
