Phantasy Star IV (also known as Phantasy Star: The End of the Millennium) returns the saga to Algo and reveals the aftermath of Phantasy Star II's events in the star system. Originally billed as the last game in Phantasy Star saga, Phantasy Star IV was the final chapter of the fight against Algo's darkest evils. Phantasy Star was released for the Sega Genesis and was also included in the Phantasy Star Collection for the Sega Saturn.
Phantasy Star IV has also been known by the subtitles "The Final Terror" and "The Return of Alis."
