The PlayStation Portable (PSP) is Sony's first handheld video game console. The PSP is designed to be used not only as a game console, but also as a portable media center.
It was released in Japan on December 12, 2004; it launched in United States on March 24, 2005, and in the European Union and Australia on September 1, 2005.
