Please submit chat rooms, bulletin boards, discussion groups, and message boards where the topic is the family. Sites which deal with a specific component of the family (i.e. babies, parenting, or adoption) should be submitted to a more specific category.
This topic covers all areas in the field of child care- that is, caring for children. This includes child day care centers, family child care homes, nannies, au pairs, and baby-sitters.
Sites listed here contain useful information about being/having an au pair. Please submit agencies to the "Agencies" subcat.

Family sites are listed by family name (surname, last name). If you fail to mention your family name, your submission will be delayed. No sites are listed in the main category. Instead, submit your site according the first letter of your family name. Submissions to the wrong categories will also be delayed.

Sites are listed in a very specific format. Please submit your site in this format - it will speed up your submission.

  1. The "Title" of your submission is your family name.
  2. The first sentence of the "Description" must mention the family members'' names and their locality.
  3. The second sentence of the "Description" should describe the content of the site.

Example of a good submission

Title: Anderson
Description: John and Mary, and children Dick and Francis, and the dog Fluffy, from Paris in France. Introduction to France, and photos of family reunion, wedding and Dick''s first tooth.

Example of a bad submission

Title: Welcome to John & Mary''s page!!!
Description: Check out John and Mary Anderson''s nice page about France and their family Dick, Francis and Fluffy the furry friend!

If your site contains no English, submit it to the appropriate category in World/. If your site is a personal site, or if your site contains only a small family section, submit it to Society/People/Personal_Homepages. If your site deals more with family history, genealogy or family research, submit it to Society/Genealogy/Surnames.

This category brings together those links that lead to resources, support and information about foster care and those involved.
This category contains sites which are designed for grandparents.
Please submit only sites that focus on grandchildren, or on being a grandparent here.

Having problems on where to submit your site? Take a look at the Family Websites FAQ

Large families (for the purpose of the this category), are families which consist of four or more children, whether they be by birth, adoption or fostering.

This category is for large IMMEDIATE families only.

Do NOT submit your site here if:

**You have a family page and have 1-3 children. Add those to Personal Home Pages and/or Family Websites.

**You have a page on your large *extended* families (ie. info on just you and your 2 kids and your 29 cousins and aunts and uncles). Add these sites to Family Websites.

**You run a genealogy page. These can be added to Genealogy.

**You sell products for families. These can be added to Shopping/Children and/or Shopping/Home and Garden.

You have 4 or more children, but that fact is not a main concern of your page. The sites listed here are resources for and about large families and should have information about them.

Multiples refers to multiple births, which include twins, triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets, sextuplets and higher births.
If you are submitting to the main category of Family/Multiple_Births, your site should NOT be geared towards parenting. Those sites should be submitted to the appropriate subcategory. The main category will feature sites with broad information that does not have a focus on parenting, or an area covered by a subcategory.

If you are submitting a mother/parent of twins/multiples club, please do so in the Home/Family/Multiple_Births/Parenting/Clubs section in the following format:

State Designation - Title

ie - WA - Seattle Mothers of Multiples Club

Your entry will be listed faster if it is submitted in this format. Please submit your site to the appropriate sub category.

Home/Family/Parenting is all about raising children and developing the skills and relationships needed for a happy family experience. Categories include Cloth Diapering, Fathering, Step Parenting and Parent Resources.
